Hello! I was referred to this forum by a friend. It is my first time here, and I need urgent help identifying a song. I'd like to give you all the details I can about it. Here it goes:

- I'm from Chile, SA, and in 1996 they used to play it in radios that would usually play 80's songs.

- To my knowledge, a lot of covers were made of this song throughout the 90's, and the most known one is EXIT WAY - BACK TO THE PROMISED LAND (1995). While the covers are fast in tempo, the original is not nearly as fast the covers.

- The original song, as I vaguely remember, was not fast, but not extremely slow, and had a new wave/disco/synth-pop feel to it, and also a european feel to it. A female sang the lyrics or maybe a male with a female's voice, but I'm almost certain that it was a female singing.

- I have uploaded a small mp3 sample of the chorus so you can download and listen to the sample, and see if you recognize who the original group of the song was. Please, do realize that this sample is of the EXIT WAY version, but the chorus melody is the same as in the original (I think), and the 'back to the promised land' line that the singer keeps repeating is also the same as in the original.

the original version of this song was played in radios so it can't be that damn rare. The reason why my peers don't know the original version is because I'm into the classic eurodance scene, not the disco scene; therefore, I come to you for help. Thank you very much in advance!

No, that's not it. Believe me, I've gone through land, air and sea looking for titles of "Promised land," or something alike, and I haven't found any song that sounds remotely alike the one I'm looking for, or the sample I posted. My guess? The name of the original song is not "BACK TO THE PROMISED LAND," or anything like that. Maybe the name of the song is different but the singer kept saying "back to the promised land..."
