Hi-Nrg ID: Oh-Ny-Yay/Oh-Ny-Yah
Please help ID this song - it's driving me mad! It's mid eighties Hi-Nrg with a kind of tribal female vocal chorus and male vocals in the verse. I think it's from Europe so the lyrics don't seem to translate too well (it's sung in English). It's a fantastic tune - heaps of percussion - and I only have a poor quality tape recording of it so would love to track it down. I don't know artist or track name! The lyrics are something like this:
"Twist with me in fire
Let me dance with my desire
In a nightmare of confusion
You won't tailor my illusions
Like a mystery - you
I've been trained to see - you
And if looks controlled your feelings inside
You got all of my soul
Thinking I Oh-Ny-Yay
Thinking I Oh-Ny-Yah
Thinking I Oh-Ny-Yay
Thinking I Oh-Ny-Yah..."
It's an incredible track and I'm desperate to know what it is! There's also a bit of male vocal at the start which goes: "dum, dum, dum da dum - adigga, dum, dum, dum da dum"! I just pray someone out there knows what on earth I'm talking about!!! Help me please...
