Thank you Dayna! What a great job you did! Never heard her sing "Whitney's " song before. Will definetely look for this one. Can hardly wait for your next "CELEBRITY". Would love to hear about Ms. Bonnie Pointers thoughts. (She's 1 of my favorites).

Yepper Dayna; super interview. Linda Clifford is a class act and one of my most favorite Disco Divas. Runaway Love was my favorite along with If my Friends Could See Me. I'm hoping she tours soon in some way, shape or form so we can all see her a few more times before we become dirt.

By the way, I was down in Fort Lauderdale on business last week and noticed they are tearing the old Copa down. Cheers and farewell to a great South Florida icon! The Copa was one of the first Clubs in Florida to embrace the disco scene. All types of people ran through the Copa all of those years. I too had the pleasure, before it was closed, to at least see the inside and hear the music years ago. Farewell to a South Florida icon.

    Thanks for this interview!

I love how it was like a really fun conversation as opposed to a rudimentary Q&A.. She came across a real genuinely warm, friendly, down-to-earth person..

I'm also glad she mentioned Isaac Hayes. The album he produced for her is one of my favourites!

"Runaway Love" was the track that caused attractive women to cast sly looks at your direction, they'd be smiling and signaling "I'm in control , can you handle it?". Still, it was always "Bridge Over Troubled Water" that worked best for me as a dj. The powerful drama still makes them strike poses and express themselves with wide circular arm movements. Some always take their shoes off, too, perhaps feeling some distant genetic call from the hippie days?

Thank you Danya for such a great interview with Linda Clifford.

I and several Disco Die hards had the pleasure of attending the DVD taping here in Los Angeles. I said it then and I say it now.... Linda Clifford stold the show!!! When she did Runaway Love my knees went weak. Linda was very in touch with her fans who were present. She made everyone in attendance feel her Love. When she called me her new husband.....I melted. LINDA YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE A PLACE IN ALL OF OUR DISCO HEARTS. We wish you continued success and happiness.

I just found out some FANTASTIC news about Linda. Michael at Medium Rare told us she's been recently added to the list of performers on the Main Stage after San Francisco's Pride Parade next weekend, June 24th I believe!!! I was actually thinking of skipping this year's Parade & post Parade festivities, but not now! :icon_razz:
