Rozalin Woods

BITD I was really hooked on Rozalin Woods' song Whatcha Gonna do About It. I never heard her other release Flashback but find it available occasionally on ebay. Is it any good? Is it as energetic as WGDA or is it more funky?? Anyone able to give me a sample of what it sounds like? How was her LP? Anyone know anything about her career or background? The one song of hers I have heard is a masterpiece IMO and its sad she is not more well known or successful.

Me too .
I've always been a sucker for piano driven disco . I think Rozalin had the youngest sounding female voice ever on a disco record . Sweet and Innocent.
Loved her Ashford and Simpson FOUND A CURE/ Sylvester styled "oooos" on it too.

Can't comment on the rest of her output Normvork... although I think I recall being disappointed in the LP ...

Dug out the LP normvork because I was curious.

It has six songs that are disco/up tempo and one that's a ballad .... ALL OVER AGAIN .
I particulary like the early morning treatment of Main Ingredient's JUST DON'T WANT TO BE LONELY.

GO SHAKE YOURSELF is pretty entertaining ....

I found another dancer (swirling strings)

FLASHBACK is the song you expressed interest in .... starts off really hopeful with a startlingly MENERGY like feel in the first minute ....then enters Rozalin with a wordy story line ... has sort of a I WILL SURVIVE flavoured vocal to it .... with a sped up STAYIN ALIVE arrangement . There's some nice piano pounding through out .

Thanks for the info, Remicks! Sounds like something not worth looking too hard for, but may still pick up if I see it cheap. I was hoping her other stuff was as wonderful as Whatcha Gonna Do About It.
