    The Ashford & Simpson Songbook

A few here might be interested in this brand new Expansion Records compilation which focuses mostly on the Ashford & Simpsons songs from the late 70s and early 80s across a wide range of artists they worked with including Teddy Pendergrass, Stephnie Mills ('Keep Away Girls'), Sylvester ('Over And Over'), Diana Ross '(The Boss'), Chaka Kahn ('Clouds'), Tata Vega, The Dynamic Superiors ('Hit And Run Lovers'), Jennifer Holiday, The Main Ingredient and others including the awesome 'Warm And Tender Explosion' by Ullanda MacCulloch. It also has many of the recent spins on the UK ‘modern soul’ scene at such events as “Soul Togetherness” and the “Luxury Soul Weekenders”. There is also a brand new mix of Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrells “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” by Phil Chapman and Simon White exclusive to this release.
