As you know Paris Hilton is sentenced to 45 days in jail for drunk driving without a permit!

Good ol' Paris claims she only got that sentence because she's famous and has started a online petition called "Free Paris".

Will you support this nice young lady?

Apparently a county jail in suburban L.A.....for women! (just in case you're planning a crimininal act, hoping that they will put you in the same cell!)

But today she announced she will appeal the sentence, she send a plea to Ahnold ze govenatoh and went shopping!



BTW, not that I have a nasty character but...can I drive her McLaren SLR while she's doing time? I promise I will be careful!

Stop dreaming guys. Today was announced that she will be separated from the other inmates because she has received death threats. She will be isolated and will have no contact with others. Apparently she will go to the Lynwood penitentiary. Ahnold has promised to consider her case but he insists she uses all legal ways before doing that.

BTW, she's cracking up. I can't believe it, it's not pleasant but it's only 45 days!

Agree totally. I`m sick to death of seeing this talentless piece of trip in all the newspapers every day. She should get the full 45 days entence, with hard labour thrown in for good measure.

As cute as I think she is, if you do the crime, be prepared to do the time.
None of these celebrities encounter anything that regular people don't, it just plays out on a bigger stage (though with the amount of reality tv these days, that gap my not exist too much longer....) They make the decisions that control their lives just like we do, so they should be awarded the same amount of pity, or lack there of, that you or I would get for making a bad choice.

As we are writing and reading this, Paris has already turned herself in and is prepared to do her time. Let's hope she comes out stronger, more down to earth and with the knowledge that freedom is a very valuable thing.

I had the experience, I know what it's like to be a just a number and hear that sound of the key that's locking the door while you know you'll only leave that cell when they open it. I know what Paris feels now and it ain't that pleasant.

But like QD says, if you do the crime, you have to do the time. (For the record: I was never convicted, I was only in custody but that's the way it goes in Belgium, they can lock you up whenever they want! And I did more time than Miss Hilton :icon_eek:)

Couldn't agree with you more VS, I've also had the pleasure of taking a 2 week vacation in a state funded facility and understand perfectly what it's like to not be in control of your own daily existance. Luckily for me I didn't do the crime, but that's an experience you can only understand if you've lived through it.

Yep, that's why I posted it. She has done wrong, she has to pay the price for it and she's doing it right now. After being mocked at the MTV-awards, straight from the red carpet into jail.

I've seen pics of the cell where she is now and it's almost exactly the same where I spent my forced holiday. No privacy, no personal stuff, a little window where I saw a top of a roof and every hour the small window in the door being opened to check if I was still in. Luckily I had a cellmate to talk to and a little radio. I did 4 months and believe me, even 23 days is a mighty long time, certainly when you are used to live a life full of luxury and glamour like Paris.

So at this very moment, she has my respect!!!
