Oh wow, that is so uber-cool! I want one!:icon_mrgreen: Let's hope it's as good & as successful as the revamped Mini.

I'm just not feeling this new Citroën. The rear quarter is not bad, but the front end kills it for me. I could almost envision a more PT-Cruiser type nose with flared fenders.

The only thing I would've done differently is the headlights; they shoulda been more 'bug-eyed' like the original. They look too smooth & sleek which isn't what the 2CV was about.

I just don't understand Citroen's thinking on this. They already have a complete line-up of models that sell relatively well and with the C3 Pluriel, they have what to my eyes looks like a natural successor to the 2CV, at least in the fun/cheekiness stakes.:icon_rolleyes:

This new 2CV looks butt ugly and yucky to me.:icon_eek:

BTW: One of the most hair raising car rides of my life was in a 2CV. The young Spanish guy who was driving, was totally out of his head and known to have some weird ideas. His weird ideas on this particular 5 a.m. jaunt were to (a) try to get as close as he could to the many canals in the area and (b) deliberately try to roll the car over by cornering at crazy speeds and angles.

Riding on the wave of revamping the classics like the Fiat 500 and the Mini!

And don't forget the car they initially released as the new 2CV: the C2 who IMO has the looks they were searching for:

It still is a concept of course but I'm not charmed by it. I was by the new Fiat and the Mini. It doesn't give that instant Wow-feeling!
