    Best ''foreign language'' song

Hi,a quick question for all the disco/hi energy/italo lovers. What's your favorite ''foreign language'' song?
Mine would have to be Tenax by Diana Est,closely followed by Sonnambulismo -Canton(an english version of the latter does exist though,i think it's called Sleepwalking)

    I think I'd have to go with Jakie Quartz's "À La Vie, À L'Amour."

Two more tunes from me. I'm still hoping that these tracks will be remixed in hi nrg format, but deep in my heart I know that this will NEVER happen.
    I just keep on dreaming.

Mylene Farmer - L'Amour n'est rien... (Obsessed Club Mix)

Gloria Piedimonte - Ma Che Bella Serata

Do you happen to know if "Galbi" by Desert Moon is a cover version of the
Galbi track by Ofra Haza or is it a different song?

"Marcia Baila" by the French avant-gardists Les Rita Mitsouko remains pretty good, non? The vocalist is Catherine Ringer who made an impression as a performance artist. She also felt compelled to express her sexuality in hardcore porno films during the aerly 80's.

    Re: Best ''foreign language'' song

For me it's 2 tracks which were (early) European disco pioneers:

    -Lucio Battisti - El Velero (12" 1976)
    YouTube - Lucio Battisti - El Velero (12") (1976).

-Dalida - J'attendrai (the first ever 12" to be released in France)
    YouTube - Dalida - J'attendrai

    Cheers.

    Hi Disco Imperium,

Thanks for posting those two tracks!

Loved the Lucio Battisti track, I'd never heard that one before.
Although I have to say I do prefer Lama "Love is on the rocks"
Having said that there would be no "Love is on the rocks" without "El velero"
and what a loss that would be!!!

Same ideas as most of you and yes, France Gall - Ella Elle L'a may not be classed as Hi NRG but it was a firm Euro hit and is one of my favorites. But I usually close out, when I play a few late night tunes with Matia Bazar - Ti Sento. So the vote for best foreign language track goes with this one.

    Re: Best ''foreign language'' song

I mentioned this one as a favorite before but as it was not as popular as
Ti sento I thought I'd stick it on so that those of you who don't know it can
    see what you think!
