Anyone ever heard of him?
I had brunch with his widow this past Sunday. She is a friend of mine's friend.
I never heard of him until my friend told me a little about Ms. Francis and her husband. Apparently, he was a studio drummer legend in his own time who played on The Four Seasons hits, Buddy Holly and other pop stars' records - just scads of them!
He is well known for swing jazz and said he couldn't understand "today's" jazz because you can't dance to it!
