''I was raised on a staple diet of music around me, early influences of music to shape my ear were THE SOUNDS OF PHILADELPHIA, that "Philly" sound label was as "soul nourishing" as it got, lush production,, soulful tunes with a lavish stable of artists including "Lou Rawls, Harold Melvin and the Bluenotes, Archie Bell and the Drells, The Jones girls, Teddy Pendergas, Love Unlimited, and Jean Carne to name a few,

Early DIVAS I listened too included Jackie Moore, Diana Ross and the Supremes, Martha Reeves, Tammi Tyrelle, Karen Carpenter. The legendary Dusty Springfield, Marva Whitney, and Areatha Franklin. I would listen to the PHIL SPECTOR Sound for hours, The Ronetts, The Crystals, Darlene Love & I loved The Jacksons, Elvis Costello, Yvonne Elliman, ....it was all about the music !!!

During my formative years Punk and Disco exploded and the rest is history. There I was THEE teenage anarchist disco dancing diva swinging from a glitterball :) - I listened to Sylvester, Steel Pulse, The Mighty Diamonds, The Clash, Althea & Donna, Dennis Brown, The Stranglers, Oddysey, The Pistols, Amanda Lear, The Whispers, Atlantic Star, Bob Marley, Rose Royce, The Mighty Diamonds, Dan Hartman, Edwin Starr, sister Sledge and Chic. Those Bass lines created by Chic founder Nile Rodgers are still 30 years later some of the most AWESOME bass lines in the history of music.

The classic soundtrack to SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER is still one of my most played CDs. During those heady years of disco I was a HUGE fan of THE ULTIMATE Disco Diva Donna Summer and I still listen to those timeless Donna Summer Tunes for that take me back feel good factor..."toot toot beep beep" !

MAXIMUM REEEESPECT TO LARRY LEVAN.''
