The 12" exists; however, I don't know if it was originally released at the time, or if it was reissued in the format later, when the medium became more widespread...
Billboard says (Polydor 12-inch) by "GET UP OFFA THAT THING (Release The Pressure)" Was this really a 12" in 1976???? or just a 7" --part 1 & 2???

James Brown had at least two 12 inch singles on TK. They're in the Records section of this site under "B."

I've seen a handful of James Brown 12 inches from that late 70s era. I think the one 12 inch issue of a song that wasn't from that period was Doing It To Death, which was released in 1973 as a single and on the LP, but put on a 12 inch in 77 or so.

Man, I've been looking for a STEREO version of "Doin It To Death" but haven't been able to find one.
The 45 is in MONO, the LP is in MONO (except the spoken intro).
I don't think it ever came out in STEREO.
It was one of those tunes that JB probably preferred in mono. I read somewhere that if he liked the mono mix, he was happy just to leave it be. You'll find there are quite a number of tunes he only had mixed as mono, like Stone To The Bone and Don't Tell It. I have a feeling someone would love to do remixes in stereo of these, but the tapes are probably missing.
