Not about who recorded it .....but rather when .....

    *****

It's not a question of who put out this Atlantic release bearing the following titles .....

    One Side :
    THE BUMP

    Other Side :
    SHE ROCKS

    but rather when .... :icon_question:

'74/'75 when most BUMP songs were being released perhaps ?
'78/'79 when ROCK/FREAK titles were numerous possibly ?

    Or .... then again .... ?

The record's shocking date of release is the answer being sought here please ..... :icon_mrgreen:

    :icon_question: :icon_cool: :icon_cool: :icon_cool:

Could it be a single released by a band sharing its name with a high-ranked

catholic clergyman, a bird, a number, a point, and a baseball team, on a

label named after a spread of water (#972), back in 1952?

Yep, I remember my pop listening to this a few years back... I can't really remember what the sound is like or if I liked it, though...

    Have you heard it yet?

KC : Have you heard it yet?
Sure have ! --- Couldn't resist getting it with titles like that ... This is a Fats Dominoe type sound ......piano , drums and saxophone--- male lead with male back up .
And --- I ain't never heard no bump song that sounded like this !!!!! Ever !!! :icon_eek: :icon_redface:

    THE BUMP
    lyrics

If you girls are feeling way down in the dumps (repeat)
I'll up and see you baby and let you do the bump

I got the bump that you want
    (drum roll)
Bump that you need (drum roll)
The bump that makes you holler and the bump that makes you plead ( followed by a wailing sax solo)

It'll thrill you chill you, make your insides jump
    (repeat)
And when you feel it get chu
    You let bump daddy bump

    :icon_eek: :icon_eek:

    You are correct Chris :
    This, from the summer of 1952 ! :icon_eek: :icon_surprised:
