Re: TTF or T.T.F.?
I have a copy of the T.T.F. LP, on RSO (RS-1-3063); interestingly enough, several tracks are arranged by Fred Wesley, of JB fame.
Unfortunately, the tracks mentioned aren't there. The tracklist goes like this:
Side 1
1. It's a groove (keep on dancin') / 3:47
2. Astro boogie / 4:27
3. Mad house / 5:24
4. Blipped (all over myself) : 5:15
Side 2
1. Taking me higher / 4:40
2. I'm for you / 5:19
3. It's your love / 4:57
4. Get on down (to the disco) / 4:15

Production is by: Fred Torchio & Angelo Jordan
Band members are: Alton Hudson, Ronald Broomfield, Allison Brunson jr., Alfredo Ramos, Deborah Peevy, Darwin Brett Brown, Willie Brown jr.
I'm listening to the record as I'm writing, and I must say this appears to be one of those records I bought among quite a few others on a trip back home to L.A., probably listened to only once, and forgot about. I think I bought the Tasha Thomas LP during that trip, which was so overwhelming I disregarded this one.
Well, that's a shame, and I'm realizing that as the tracks go by. "It's a groove" is a killer dance track with a catchy tune. "Blipped" is pretty good as well. The general style reminds me of that "Dream Express" LP, with the weird wigs. Some tracks are reminiscent of Parliament, disco with a strong funky accent and space-synth effects.
I'll add this to the vault, and include more specifics from the cover, as there are some...
follow up: This entry has just been added; it should appear as soon as Bernie's finished with the Sunday Comics...
