Nice hearing from you. I hope you find what you need and please keep us updated on the status of the film.
Hey everyone. I am new to this board. I figured this might be a good place to get some leads. I'm an archival researcher for a film that is in the works about the late great Arthur Russell. We are in desperate need of some photos or footage of the early 70s disco scene. Wondering if anyone here has any ideas where I can get to some digging.
Thanks alot! and if you are interested check out our site: arthurrussellmovie.com

You may want to ask the guys on DJ History and post something in
one of the forums there-some great sources.
Good luck to you!

I've watched the teaser and it's very interesting. It clearly points out that Arthur Russell was very avant-garde. A love him or hate him-kinda guy!
I like his stuff, certainly Loose Joints and Lola.
Isn't the famous quote: "Arthur Russell didn't die, he just vanished in his music" or something like that.
Wishing you all the best and I'll sure look out for it when it's screened!
Hmmmm-Well if Bill Brewster who wrote
"Last Night A DJ Saved My Life" can't help this poster find info on Arthur Russell who can? And
as far as the guys on the forum,Quinny are you
kidding? These guys are "trainspotters" as you
call them over there and they are damn passionate about music-including disco. They amaze and educate me on a daily basis-and
I thought I was pretty "disco" smart! That
whole 20-30 something crowd ADORE Arthur
Russell for his visionary edgy/quirky-ness and
justifiably so.I'm sure he will have no trouble
finding someone to point him in the right direction.
