Just a word of personal opinion, here.
I've found Stargard releases to be quite uneven. Some tracks I love, from "What You Waitin' For" ("Starbob" is a cool funky track, "Disco People" a valid disco stomper) and "The Changing Of The Guard" ("Put On Your Rollerskates"). I also liked their performance with Dianne Steinberg on "Lucy in the sky", out of the 1978 movie:"Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" soundtrack.
On the other hand, I found nothing really worth mentioning in "Nine Lives". I found it to be an uninspired filler LP, as if they had been contractually obligated to provide a final album, even though they were obviously lacking interest. I believe the departure of Debra Anderson announced the end... Like many other '70s disco bands, entry into the '80s proved fatal...
Obviously, if you're a big fan of the group, you might want to get the LP for collection purposes. I wish I could tell you it's a better "Stargard", or "What You Waitin' For", but that's unfortunately not the case.
Anyway, try to have a listen, and judge for yourself, as I've often found that others praised tracks I found downright crappy, and my favorites were often overlooked by others...
