Unfortunately I have only a complete list of 1978.

Well, I don't have all the info I thought I did...but here's what I found:



1974: No #1 song...they listed the Top 50 but in alphabetical order from "Ask Me" to "You're The First, The Last, My Everything".



1975: #1 for New York area--"Bad Luck" by Harold Melvin & the Bluenotes.

There was in the 70's annual "Billboard Disco Forum's". There the Awards for Deejay, Disco Artist etc. was lent.

I don’t know where to get this list, but around 85 or 86 my good friend Carlos Nodal (Honey for Bears, Casanovas and countless other clubs) was Billboard DJ of the year, unfortunately he’s no longer with us.

Yes, the July 1, 1978 issue of Billboard, reporting on Disco Forum IV, lists Jim Burgess of Infinity as winning the award for National Disco DJ of the Year. Back issues of Billboard can be accessed on Google Books.

I found the issue, looked through it for about an hour could not find it.

They awarded different DJ's from different parts of the Country. I went to the convention here in LA, Feb 1980--Mike Lewis won for best DJ in LA. Herb Albert won for best instrumental, Rise and I think Ann Margret won for something. We saw France Joli sing Come To Me and Dan Harman and Loleatta Holloway preform Relight My Fire at Studio One. They also had a big party at the Probe, and I remember the Scatt Brothers were there.--I also remember spending the night with some DJ from Washington DC who was nominated but didn't win.
