There's a British DJ called Fatboy Slim, he is very very friend of Brazil, I think he played bass on Housemartins, I heard that one of his secret weapons to make people dance is a sample of Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean".

It's a good job some of you guys were never DJs. You'd still be waiting for the floor to fill up.:icon_mrgreen: :icon_mrgreen: :icon_mrgreen:
Generally, a floor filler (after a dance floor catastrophe) had to be a 'lowest common denominator' type of toon. How you arrived at what was 'the lowest common denominator' was the interesting part of the equation, but in all my years as a DJ it was NEVER one of my own personal fave raves. Whatever it was (and it changed on a regular basis), it had to be incredibly strong with an almost instant hook.
Be honest, some of the above just wouldn't qualify, would they, but they might have done so in one particular week when they might have been the absolute bees knees (:icon_rolleyes: :icon_lol: ) in your own heads?
The ones that prevail to this day? Anthems for sure (so long as they're not too tired) and the odd left-fielder that luck determines as much as anything else.
