Chart Hit [Level 6]
The Checker Motors Company, of Kalamazoo, MI., produced the Marathon from 1961 to 1982, on a body only slightly changed from its
previous 1950s design. Anybody who's been to New York, and taken a cab, in the 60s, 70s or 80s has traveled in one.

I've ridden in a Marathon taxi... Not much for looks and comfort but solid, strongly built and excellent for cab use - kinda like that black London cab...
