More Wally Mcdonald masters "You Can Do It, You Can Dan

Ran into an old friend yesterday and he has Wally Mcdonald cassettes that he is lending me. This first set was done at the Albany Tavern in Toronto. Not sure of the date most likely pre 84
The first song is a male vocalist (he reminds me of Frank Zappa deep voice) with female backup

    Lyrics:
    M:

M with female backup repeating first chorus

    M: no here's a chance
    for you to dance
from your hand to your hip
from your hip to your hand
now your hip to your toe
    now go go go
    get on your feet
    when your hear the beat

from your foot to your butt
from your butt to you foot
from your bottom to your top
    now hop hop hop

Dance you'll soon be back for more
now get your body on the floor

    female backup:
You can dance you can do it
you can do it you can dance (repeated 2X)

    M:
    you feel so good
    like a body should
from your hand to your hip
from your hip to your hand
from your head to your toe
    let's go go go

I know this one. Only sfbeary has ever mentioned this.

"If You Can Dance, You Can Do It" by Slimline (an English import)

This is a real goody...played at Trocadero...never heard it anywhere else.
