i thought this song was on a red philly groove.
anyway i saw a difrent one on Phil-l.a. of soul label
by the philly sound, is this the same recording with 2
artist listings? wich one is the original?

I think there was a vocal version by Fantastic Johnny C. ("Boogaloo Down Broadway") and an instrumental version by the Philly Sounds Orchestra. Both versions charted in early 1975 on Billboard charts on the Phil-LA of Soul label--maybe the A & B side of the same single? Not sure about that...maybe 2 different singles...but I think the vocal was added to the same instrumental.... Both are on the "Philly Roots' cd.....
