The label reads Moxie Disco 12 Inches (MX006a and the other side obviously MX006b). The A side has as track name "Bloody Cheeky" but it is Chic (bloody cheeky indeed to disguise this as is...). The b side is listed as Karnemelk - Pronounced as Mok-sie (The Lynn Soul anthem). Karnemelk is Dutch for buttermilk, and Moksie is actually a Surinam rice dish, so all complete nonsense... The B-side contains two tracks, and I am after the name/artist of track 2.
Slow beat, mostly instrumental. Female singer (sounds like Mtume or Juicy). Lots of electronic bleeps through this heavy beat and funky bass. She sings (first line) "You got me thinking........ what you have in store". There are some really interesting remix/break thingies where the music stops completely only to then continue with the haunted beat, funky bass and synth solo. Sounds like Larry Levan or Sly & Robbie could have remixed. It sounds 80's. Refrain could be "Ready for your love" as this is sung by the vocalist and chorus of soulful backing singers. As they sing this refrain she sings "You got me waiting, anticipating".
I LOVE this song. Any guesses? I have an MP3 but am too technically challenged to create an MP3 snipit and post it.
