Dayton had atleast 2 prior Lps on Liberty/EMi that were solid.
Cuba Gooding used to be lead singer in the Main Ingredient and released a soul Lp in 2004 called Begin with the Family on Irie records. He has released other albums in the 80's as well.
in The UK at least.

Cuba Gooding released 'Disco Royale' in '79 on Motown which was excellent & mostly ignored& Dayton released 4 LPs between 1980 & 83, 2 of which are available on CD except for 'Feel The Music' which contains the afore-mentioned 'Sound Of Music'; I'd recommend them all, especially the ones produced by Rhani Harris of '6 Million Steps' fame.
Don't know what happened to the Funk Masters but the singer's son was a member of S Club 7.:icon_confused:
...ya gotta beat the street......
