Which song is your favourite?

"Colder than Ice" and "Red For Love" are nice songs, with "Red for Love" being my favourite Grant Miller track. I also like the tracks by Tom Spencer (Blue Eyed Eddie, Kung Fu Fighting <Carl Douglas cover>). Under the title "German Dance Music," zyx (20.057) issued a nice dance remix of tracks by Timerider, Grant Miller, Tom Spencer, Solid Strangers, L'Affair, Martinique and others. The remixes were recorded at Hurricane Studios in Munich in 1986. Me wonders though why there is a picture of the Hong Kong harbour and a Chinese ship on the sleeve photo.
"colder than ice" does it for me..i love that song, great guy..oh i ve come over all david ginola there!!
You forgot his big hit "Dr for my heart" which is also a great song!
I don't have V.2 in front of me, but here are the tracks on V.3 (= Best of TESS Productions II):
Paul McDouglas - DALLAS
Ringo - IMAGINATION
Grant Miller - I'M ALIVE (4:02)
Charlie G - LLAMA L'AMOR
Mozzart - IN CHINA
GP Universe - OH SENORITA
Mozzart - PAY THE HIGHEST PRICE
Grant Miller - DOCTOR FOR MY HEART (5:17)
Linda Jo Rizzo - HEY JOE
Timerider - COCOON
I hope that are no news for you, but all songs from Grant Miller (and all the songs wich Magnifique suggest) are written, produced and played by Elvine/Tess. And that is a pseudonym from Fancy. Great guy!!
Grant miller one of my favourite euro disco stars i was looking for any video for him for long time and i found it at youtube it was colder than ice , red for love is my favourite i think he also appear on one of london boys video clip !
I think he means that all these tracks were produced by Fancy (under the name Tess and/or Fancy). Fancy sings/sang his own tracks. Grant Miller's a different singer - not Fancy.
(For those who don't know) I would like to take this opportunity to mention that Fancy also produced a very nice cover version of the "People Like Us" track "Deliverance" (1989). The song was sung by Tom Carraba.
It's really hot - stop!!! Saaaay: Magnifique!
Fancy is the producer and writer! He most plays the music too. If I am right, the real name of Grant Miller is Charlie Glass.
Does this mean he's also known as "Charlie G." that released the infamous "Llama L'Amor" single in '86? Because on that record, one of the composing credit's under the surname "Glass"
Charlie G = Charlie Glass. He recorded "Llama L'Amor" in the eighties. It was a Tess (= Fancy) production.

The real name of Grant Miller (aka "Elvine") is Alfons Weindorf, if I am not mistaken. He also sang "Heart of Gold," which was released under the artist name "TOM."

Suprised to see a post on Grant Miller here....I have my own Grant Miller story.
I played in a club called The 21 Club in Indianapolis, Indiana for about 4 years. I was playing one weeknight when someone came to the booth to talk to me. We spoke a couple minutes and he asked if I had ever heard of Grant Miller. As it so happened I had bought a ZYX comilation LP just a few months earlier that contained 2 Grant Miller tracks. He was rather suprised that I knew of the name, let alone the tracks. He explained to me that he WAS Grant Miller and he wandered if I would play one of his cuts. I told him better yet, wouldn't he DO the song along with the track. He did it for me, and I thought it was nice of him to do so.
As it turns out, Grant is from Indianapolis and was home from Germany to visit his friends and family.
By the way, Colder than Ice was first a fancy song...then Grant recut it.
Thanks for sharing your Grant Miller story. I read your post with great interest.

Doctor For Your Heart was originally done by Modern Talking and then rerecorded by Grant
He also did a cover of Always On My Mind, in an identical style to the Pet Shop Boys version but sung in German called Doch Ich Habe Dich Geliebt which was released in 1990.
My favourite is Lost In Paradise

I was really surprised to read this note. I was with Grant that night at the 21 Club. I was there with his cousin. We had a great time that night and thought it was great that you let him do the song. Not many people had heard of him or his success in Europe but as I remember it went over very well. Thanks for the memories.
