Arrow Finally: The New Opel GT

The "poor man's Corvette" is back but now it looks more like a mini-Viper. Great looking car but...what can you do with it? Drive? Yes! Baggage? Nope! Just for fun!

Well, it looks a lot better than my '71 Opel 1900. :icon_biggrin:

Yep, but since Opel was aware that Paul was interested they took the roof off!
The guy is rather tall, you know (yes, also in the lower regions!)

Video, I'll keep my mind on that lovely old Opel rather than Paul's lower region as it'll only end in tears! :icon_mrgreen:

Johan, my opel was the boxy 2 door coupe. Perhaps that's the one Sandy had in mind.
SD, I don't mind if your thoughts drift to my nether regions

No Paul, that beauty in the photo was the one I had in mind. My thoughts are now going to drift to your nether regions!

I remember (rarely) seeing this car as a kid growing up in L.A., and thinking: "what thieving copycats these Opel bastards are". That's before I learnt that Opel and Chevy were both GM, and primarily hailed from/meant for different markets. I still always found the GT looked very cheap and unimpressive next to the 'Vette, as if someone had tried making a Stingray from a Renault 5 (LeCar)'s chassis, engine, and wheels...
