    Arrow "Apache"-The 2nd Coming!

After the great version by Tommy Seebach, we now present you the most Funky rendition by the Incredible Bongo Band.

Quinny, if you dare to say you don't like this, we'll nuke Southampton!!! This is GREAT stuff!

Ahem! Bongo Rock/Bongolia by The Incredible Bongo band was played and played and played by yours truly and my fellow DJs BITD before the day. I think we used to play it alongside the break from Dennis Coffey's Scorpio, both of which became B Boy anthems in the '80s along with this track. Ooh, we played some real dope toons then, eh? BUT Apache isn't a patch on Bongo Rock/Bongolia IMO.

"Let there be drums" is another great percussion drived output by the band who, I think only released 2 albums in the early 70's. BTW, who could be behind the "Last bongo in Belgium" track????

BTW, here's some recent info on some guys who were involved in the project.

Apparently there's a vinyl myth that George harrison and Ringo Starr performed on a few tracks by The Incredible Bongo Band....they were in San Francisco at the time.

Video, the cut "Bongo Rock" is listed on the Disco-La Fortune 500 charts at # 264, released on MGM in 1973, at the time it was a very well known track in the underground disco scene in the US, I have the 7" around here but never bought the LP.

I've had this Album (CD) on my wish list for a few years now :icon_eek: it was always very expensive (26.99 to 36.00 USD according to my 3 year old notes) since it was a Japanese release only on Toshiba/EMI, for about a year now I see a new UK release that you linked at a more moderate price.

Does anyone that owns this UK version on Pride/Mr Bongo label has any comments on the audio quality???
