Quinny, Is such a GREAT character...but his photo cracks me up...if he was a cartoon he would make MILLIONS...... (NO disrespect dude)
I bet quinny does those really dodgy social club discos with a journey through bad perms lol...mind you sometimes those tacky old clubs are where you can still grab great disco tunes like Kelly marie's "love trial" n'all that....
I bet Quinny loves Kelly Marie!:icon_lol:Almost as much as he loves Donna Summer. He's into all the divas.:icon_rolleyes:
...ya gotta beat the street......
Especially for Sandra & Thereza (they'd make a lurvely couple).
Sung to the tune of Ken Dodd's 'Happiness'.
Bitchiness, Bitchiness,
the only thing that we possess,
We thank the Lord,
That we've been blessed,
with more than our share of bitchiness.
And NO, I don't own a Kelly Marie record.
Women & gay guys always get flack for being bitchy & it's so not fair because the bitchiest people I've ever met are straight men!![]()
...ya gotta beat the street......
Well bite my breast's with a rottweilers teeth love!!!
if you look like a monkey, expect a grinder to put your shoulder to the wheel quinny honey.....
I have to say i really laughed at that what Qwimmy said it was Rather funny.
I'm sure sandra and i would not mind having a forum marrage would y luv? hehehehe....
Talking of dodgy discos, etc.. I went to a bar last night that has a DJ playing funk, soul, etc once a week...Been trying to get there for months but something always comes up...anyway I made it at last and was BLOWN AWAY when the DJ played VINYL 12"s !!
and then again when he put on SUNSHINE HOTEL by Richard T Bear ...absolute great tune !!! I knew it straight away and I think he was taken aback that an Anorak knew his 'obscure disco tune'...I asked if he had Uncle Louie - Full Tilt Boogie, which would have kept the mood perfectly.....pity he could only describe TK records as the "label with the palm trees on"![]()
I have always loved Sunshine Hotel (apart from the stupid, stupid breakdown about two thirds of the way through, where it reverts to a rock cliche....just what were they thinking?) and I can't wait to play it again in anger, which I will do, some day very soon. With this particular record I have a feeling it was generally overlooked, but I could be 100% wrong!
Q...I think u were right I think it WAS overlooked...I worked a club as a bar man in the day, and asked to borrow some records off the DJ to play...U know how DJ's HATED this request...so he gave me this one to try, but I really loved it... a bit jazz influenced ? , but a great tune...and the break I agree :icon_confused:
BUT WHAT A TUNE TO HEAR THIRTY YEARS ON !!!!...it had a pic on the UK release ..was it Kris kRISTOFFERSON IN DISGUISE :icon_biggrin: :icon_biggrin:
