I loved NEW YORK TIMES ; it was pressed on a rainbow coloured 12inch...

CARLY SIMON's MY NEW BOYFRIEND was remixed by ARTHUR BAKER in his typical signature sound following GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN...

Never heard the remix but read the review in BILLBOARD's dance column.

and fantastique "mama told me" which is one of those stillplayed at partys type hi nrg,
Laura pallas "hands off" thats a funky one.
i love patrick cowley music and i don't hear it get enough of a mention especially as he was a connsumate profesional producer in dance at that time.

or the Chi lites "changing for you"? in 83 suppose thats more disco'ish than hi nrg though....

This is strikingly FUNKYTOWN ..... bouncy keyboard ...vocals : females sound something like STARS ON 45 (let's do it, let's do it, let's do it, let's do it , ....... let's do it togeeether) .....the male vocoder voice a la Giorgio ...... some spry fake strings almost more fiddling in sound ... doe si doe ... swing your partner round and round .... I can picture the entire ANNIE GET YOUR GUN cast swirling around a giant stage to it ..... :icon_rolleyes: :icon_smile:




very happy ... ... very upbeat .... ... yep, very FUNKYTOWN ... I'm liking it ....:icon_smile:

These clips are from my vinyl (recorded to cd, then uploaded to a host site, but the links may enable someone to download other stuff!) Is that right? Not a computer / webiste expert here
