Patti Labelle / Eyes In The Back Of My Head
Well, I won't say this is Patti's best disco output, but it certainly is frantic and sort of leftfield. A few sites I've seen referred to this a club hit. I am curious if A) it was and B)where and when it go play. I like it a lot, but imagine it would have been hard to slot into a playlist. It doesn't even strike me as straight ahead disco, more of a frentic gospel throwdown. Anyway, Patti kills it.
If anyone can shed a little light it'd be appreciated; I plan on reviewing this and a few of Patti's other disco hits for vinyl again and I need a little background.
Cheers!
