Do I have this right ?
In 1978 Fever released a 12" single of a cover version of STANDING IN THE SHADOWS OF LOVE ( no LP )![]()
Then in 1979 they released their self titled disco classic LP :
![]()
Then in 1980 ... another LP titled
"DREAMS AND DESIRE"
9 TRACK LP INCLUDES "DON'T YOU WANT ME?", "THE ONE TONIGHT", "YOU TURN ME OUT", "SPRING FEVER", "NO FUTURE", "WE HAVE THE STARS", ON THIS LIMITED EDITION LP PRESSING
--- Does anyone have this album ?? Any thoughts about it ? With nine tracks .... it can't be very disco (?)
Can anyone post it's cover ???
(I have the 45 of the LP's title song DREAMS AND DESIRE & am not too impressed) ....

Baby, take me
high upon a hillside
high up where the stallion
meets the sun
'Dont You Want Me' was on the Disco Spectrum 3 collection CD so that's the only track I'm familiar with. It's definitely a change in direction; whereas the '79 LP was very 'disco' i.e. zingy chix vocals & synth effects & hi-nrg beats, the 1980 LP seems to be funkier, soulful male vocals, generally more r'n'b than disco. (In 1980 most disco artists seemed to either go funkier or rockier didn't they? with a few exceptions - Frankie Valli, Lipps Inc.etc.)
...ya gotta beat the street......
