#4. LOU RAWLS - THIS SONG WILL LAST FOREVER
    P.I.R. 1976
(LP) ALL THINGS IN TIME ..ft. You'll Never Find (Another Love Like Mine)/Groovy People/From Now On etc.
Should be easy to get hold of?
...such a shame we lost Lou just over a year ago :icon_sad:

Am aware of #2 (Look Out Boy, I'm Gonna Getcha ..great Boogie Chooon!) & #3 (Cover of Gamble & Huff's Expressway To Your Heart ..NOT The Soul Survivors/Margo Thunder/Sandra Feva or Karen Young ..it's a little more up to date), but the names escape me right now ..(how annoying )
..nice selections, I must say ..I'd want to know what they were as well!

    Jester.

The Expressway To Your Heart version is from a 1982 Robbie Leslie mix if that helps with the year :)

    Andy

the last one sounds very much like a mike theodore production.

check his 2nd lp, the one with "dragons of midnight", i think it's one of the 4 tracks on it

and if you could download the chorus of the first one, you have the verses there, it might help jog my memory

I think it sounds like Donald Fagen, very similar to his Night Owl period.

Ok here's the lyrics to the first one (ATC8)

Lonely European days and nights go by
No one fits me like you do
Perfect fit how I need you

New York to Paris ran out
Trying to so hard to come back
London & Rome don’t make it
    So I got no hope

    Coming for you my only
Late at night I’m a mess
    Loving memories are lonely
    Loving you was the best

At airports I dream of you babe
    In hotels with champagne faking
Nothing fits me but you babe
    My heart’s breaking

Now you’re gone and I’m bumming
    Singing sad songs I’m running
    The man who had everything
    Lost it one day

Thumbs up Re: Hi can anyone help please

Thank You the disco kid, and thank you Andy Farley. This song took me back to The Saint dance floor, 6 or 7 am. At this time the morning music was so intense that I never got up to ask the DJ the name of this song.

Waited 20 years for the name.

The Expressway To Your Heart version may be Ronnie Dyson. Does anyone by any chance have his Phase 2 album from 1982 that they could check this against please?

    Thanks
