    Hi Andrea,

When in the area check out 98.7FM's Saturday night Club Classics mix show with Ruben Toro, he'll take you from the 70's right up to todays underground house and club music. the #1 mix show in the area right now.

You can get more info on that and other stuff in the area on this website.....

I'd recommend Bleeker Bob - in Bleekers Street & while your there the store in Carmine Street. Two ther stores I didn't get to - one on Brooklyn, and the other on 3rd Avenue - both were highly recommended

Does anyone know if "Rock & Soul" is still open. Several of my DJ friends would buy there in the late 70's and early 80's. They had 2 stores; one on 7th or 8th Ave and the other on West 34th St. Many of the pro DJs of the time also frequented this place.

Rock & Soul is still open at the one off West 34th Street.

They have cut the vinyl section by 1/2 about a year or two ago.

They don't carry alot of today's dance anymore . But they still have tons of the old school reissues .
