Question Of Few 12" Singles Of Rick James

    Hi!

Just would like to know about few 12" singles of Rick James, are these just the same versions as there are on LPs:

Dance with me 12" vs. album track of "Throwin´ Down"
She blew my mind (69 times) 12" vs. album track of "Throwin´Down"
Ghetto Life 12" vs. album track of "Street songs"
17 12" vs. album track of "Reflections"

The only 12" inch I don't have is Ghetto Life, all the rest are the same times for both, only thing about the 17 12" is that there's an instrumental on the B-side
They can all be found on Bustin' Out - The Best Of Rick James

I know "Superfreak" in album form is the short version. I never heard that song completely until I obtained the dual disc version of Street songs with the extended version as a bonus track. There is much more music not heard on the 3 minute version and not just additional edits. I never liked "Superfreak" until I heard that version.

As far as I know Motown only issued "Ghetto Life" as a white label promo 12" coupled with "Mr. Policeman". Both are the LP versions from the "Street Songs" album. I found a mint copy of this record in $1 bin at Amoeba in SF about a year ago.
