    Tracy Ackerman

Tracy Ackerman was very busy during the HINRG "Hey day".. As well a releasing her own great tracks (TAKE MY BODY.. AND I WILL TAKE YOUR LOVE & SLAVE FOR YOUR DESIRE) she regularly provided backing vocals to countless HINRG productions and was a member of studio based "groups" such as CHARADE, ASTAIRE, CROISETTE & MOONSTONE. Does anyone know if she is still working in the music industry ??

I think she's mainly doing songwriting these days as part of the Absolute team. The last big hit they wrote was "Do I Make You Proud?" which Taylor Hicks took to #1 in the USA after he won "American Idol."

She is really an awesome vocalist. I wasn't so crazy about some of the tracks she did guest vocal on in the 90s like the Lustral or Chicane tracks but I agree with you her 80s records are real classics!

Definitely. She did some storming tracks for PASSION RECORDS in 1988.
She also recorded a good cover of the Dusty Sprigfield track "Just don`t Know what to do with myself"

She also hit the charts in the early 90s with a housed up version of Brenda Russell's 'Get Here' under the name Q feat Tracy. She also did a great version Of Love Hangover in 1987 on Debut Records
