    80's Hi-NRG in todays clubs ????

Could anyone one tell me if there are any clubs left in the UK that still play Hi-NRG (Not including Almighty,Klone etc).

I'm sure there are some that have "theme" nights, which include some of the old classics, but are there any places left that only specialise in the 80s and early 90s Hi-NRG?.

There is a club here in Manchester called Legends which has 3 rooms open on Saturday nights & one of the rooms known as the Tunnel plays quite well-known 80s hi-nrg such as Hazell Dean, Angie Gold & Eria Fachin all night along with poppier 80s stuff like Erasure, Human League & Visage. It's not brilliant but it's as good as it gets these days.

I understand there's a club called Flame or Flame's in Luton that plays hi nrg all night -- particularly Almighty stuff. Never been there - I only know that from hearsay and "my source" is very reliable. :icon_biggrin:

I visited 2TOOMUCH in Soho last summer and they played pure HI NRG - all night. Not sure if I was just lucky to be there when NRG was played or if this is their "routine music program." (Based on the "interior decoration" I'd say they play hi nrg a lot :icon_mrgreen: )

I found a small club/bar in Southport UK a couple of years ago that played 80`s HINRG quite regularly..Im not sure if its still open. There was talk a few years back of a HINRG revival on the club scene but it never happened. Some music magazines here in the UK ran feature articles on the whole 80s HINRG scene and interviewed some of the key players/artists. To be honest I cannot see it coming back in such a big way.
