JOL,
I'm opening my big mouth hoping I'm steering you in the right direction. The version in your clip sounds like the Disconet Remix --- Volume 5, Program 4, Bonus Side 1. I say this because it sounds "flat", vocals are way up front and the hand clap is prevalent. The version released on the WAVE label in 1982, DL 1215, is heavy on the reverb, vocals are pushed back a little and the handclap is now closer to the 'whip' in I Feel Love.
I don't know how damaged your tape is but if you have the beginning of the song in the mix and she does any kind of vocalizations before singing, "Midnight confessions shared in the dark...", then you have the Disconet version.
I understand for your restoration you want the same one the DJ used but if you can, get the WAVE 12", too. You'll love it. Longer intro, better sound quality and a 7+ minute instrumental on the B side. Both sides have more impact than the Disconet mix, IMO.
Almost forgot... Track 1 is "Dancin' In The Darkness" by Coco Du Jour.
