who sang this: Tonight my heart's not in it

It's a woman singer and part of the lyric is "Tonight my heart's not in it, baby I know my limit" . There is a long intro with strings piano and cow bells. I believe it from the early 80's.

That would be Ms. Brenda Jones, "My Heart's Not In It".

Don't know about her heart but her voice was all over it!:icon_biggrin:

The song is "My Heart's Not In It" by Brenda Jones. The extended version of this song appears on a CD entitled "Mighty Real - A Dance Floor Retrospective - 1980-1988 - Morning Music" and is on the Candystorecords label. The songs tracks in at 7:07 and the CD also contains 10 additional songs. Highly recommended!

Thanks Ken for your lovely recomendation of our MightyREAL CD: Morning Music compilation. My Heart's Not in it was a rock song covered with great talent and heart by Ms. Jones.

I thought everyone would like to know CANDYSTORECORDS has partnered up with Centaur Music to distribute and market the MightyREAL series.

SHOWSTOPPERS is the first CD to be re-released (and redesigned) and is now widely available in the states at Virgin Megastore for only $14.98. CentaurMusic is selling all three volumes of MightyREAL, also on their website.

Exciting news is on the way regarding a new downloadable CD from CANDYSTORECORDS - we won't keep you is suspense much longer.

Untill then - thanks for your support and if you think of it, pick up SHOWSTOPPERS at Virgin Megastore.

    Happy New Year,
    James- CANDYSTORECORDS
