Wink COPS reality show with celebs??? C’mon!

Five celebrities will protect and serve on the busiest shift of the night, 6 PM to 2 AM, responding to emergency calls, helping victims and making arrests. It's starting on CBS January 10. This has got to be a show I’m going to catch. Just watching them train to become a police officer is going to be awesome.
this clip i got from youtube >> YouTube - CBS Armed & Famous - Erik Defends his Weapon

the recent increase increase in the number of shows similar to this (like the one I saw where a group of celebrities who don't know each other have to live together briefly) gives me the impression that out of work celebrities don't seem to know what to do with their time. If I had their bucks I'd be traveling and trying to stay OUT of trouble instead of looking for some...

What amazes me is that the actions those "Police-celebs" would be legal in the US! Over here, a judge would dismiss such a case immediately!

But on the other hand, we can not elect a sheriff either. Local and state police are all civil servants. BTW, we can not make a civilian arrest, we would be arrested ourselves :icon_biggrin:

We have shows like that too, celebs who do crazy things. I never watch that stuff, in fact I don't watch television anymore since a few months and I really don't feel like missing something!

But it's a good idea though. Maybe I should give my wife some worktools and tape what happens. Now, that would be big on YouTube :icon_mrgreen:

I'm outta here, I'm gonna watch: "Guess who's sleeping on the couch tonight"!

It looks like one of the more entertaining reality shows lately. It sounds like a cross between Reno 911 and Surreal Life.

Trish is a very good reason to watch the show. Armed and Famous looks like it would be entertaining to say the least. Anything with Wee-Man and Trish Strauss is gonna be awesome. I heard that Trish is working on a prostitution sting operation on the show. I hope she pins the John down and gives him his Miranda Rights. hehe.

All the celebs have to pass their training in order to earn their badges, They have to ride with a senior officer. I saw the 1st 2 ep (which got he highest ratings, good one America. Who cares that Bush wants to send 20,00 more troops to Iraq, right?) ahem, the first 2 episodes weren't bad at all. All the celebs took their position as police officer very seriously, and I think that Jack Orsbourne is doing a great job. You can't help but root for those guys.
