    Mach "On and On"

I just heard this amazing song on a video clip of an underground NY club-I
think the DJ was Rahaan.I've done a little research and know it's origins
(It was Jesse Saunder's edit and was stolen from him....)but how can I
track this down today? Is it available on any CD compilations of early house
    tracks? Thanks

This wasn't Jesse Saunder's edit so far as I know. He actually ripped it off on a track that he did. It was an edit that a lot of Chicago Djs in the 80s played, in particular Jesse. You can still get it, it's tricky to find but by no means impossible. Look for dealers on the net.

The “On and On” edit was put together in Miami, Florida, by a local Cuban club DJ and released on 8-1980, Jesse Saunder and the city of Chicago are very lucky that unfortunately here in Miami this flip side never caught on and the Miami sound moved towards the Latin /Hip Hop side as the 80’s progressed, other wise the History of “House Music” would’ve been quite different indeed. :icon_confused:

This 12" was pressed in limited numbers and AFAIK never released on CD .
On 10/06 it sold on Ebay for 199.00 USD

Here is for those that haven't seen it (Like me until today:icon_confused:) is this great video clip I was able to find going through another forum, it is unbelievable to see how they are still dancing like this to this old boot mix today. Here in Miami I only ever used the A side of this record, no one ever got into "On and On" side, I never knew this cut was popular in Chicago otherwise I'd have taken a trip.

I read this enhanced version played here in this clip was re-worked by DJ Rahaan , very nice indeed, my compliments to the man, for what I can tell he adds some extra vocals and effects to the "beep beep's" section, boosts the bass and works the EQ, other wise is the same as the original.

By the way this is really an "underground" party, apparently they are in what looks like a Basement that is undergoing remodeling.

    :icon_exclaim: WOW !! :icon_exclaim:

This is the hottest disco video one could hope to see
    :icon_exclaim: :icon_cool::icon_cool: :icon_cool::icon_cool:

It's all there .... if you can relate to this ...you understand disco ....

It's all about just letting loose and letting the music , the dj take you there ..... you can't be in a hurry ...you have to just let the flow happen ...before you know it you're doing crazy stuff like the one guy who's dancing with his ass grinding against the wall .... and nobody gives a sh*t cause they're all doing their stuff too ....
the vibe of the crowd when the dj cuts out the music .... the crowd stays with it : they trust him ....they keep it going .... that is perfect ...

...there's the apprehension ..... where we going now ? ..... and when he finally comes back in with .... well .... ( I won't say with what song he comes back in with --- YOU SHOULD JUST WATCH IT to experience it )

and that total "ya you nailed it" crowd response ....... goosebumps ............... that one guy starts swinging from the rafters !!

can't put it into words how it all works ... this dance thing ... the crowd , the shared energy ... the shared positive energy !! But to get to that place this crowd is at .... that is disco ....

    It's a feeling .... and what a feeeel-ing .....

    ..... :icon_cool: :icon_cool: :icon_cool:

Wow!-Glad to see this thread has some renewed interest. And that is exactly the clip
that got me interested in the Mach track.I
love how the dancers are so in tune with the
DJ-this is truely what a club experience should
be.Unfortunately,I still can't find my record
    for under 100$,though......
