Have a sample from Dinosaur L. - Go Bang
Like to know from what (re)mix/dub this came from.
Thanks.
Thanks for the reply..
But I don't think so, "Go Bang" was an Arthur Russell production.
Pulse: I think you've misunderstood. Began Cekic made many a 'copy' of many famous Disco tracks as well as also rans that were hot for a few minutes.
I never thought I'd see the day when I'd say Dinosaur L's version of Go Bang was superior sounding, but that day has arrived. The one (in question) sounds lame beyond belief, if indeed it is meant to be a true re-working. It sounds like an early House re-make, cos sooo many of those were similarly lacking.
Correct. my mistake .. But naming Began Cekic don't help me futher.Pulse: I think you've misunderstood. Began Cekic made many a 'copy' of many famous Disco tracks as well as also rans that were hot for a few minutes.
Seemingly there are people who think otherwish :icon_biggrin:I never thought I'd see the day when I'd say Dinosaur L's version of Go Bang was superior sounding, but that day has arrived. Thanks Simon,
I'll keep it in mind.
I’ve not had a listen to the clip, but:
It could be Dinosaur L “Go Bang” (Dinosaur L Bangs Again) remixed by Hard Times Productions on City Beat records (I’ve not got this record as I think I dismissed it at the time of it’s release in favor of the original F.K. remix), I would think this version could possibly sound house like as it’s from 1988.
Or it could be the original LP version of Dinosaur L's “Go Bang” instead of the more well known F.K. mix, even if I was to listen to the clip I couldn’t tell you if it’s the LP mix as I haven’t heard the LP version for well over 10 years.
Also Arthur Russell from memory did another very different striped down version of “Go Bang” later on for another LP.
Or it could be new previously un-released version, quite a few CD compilations and LP reissues have come out over last couple of years.

I know it's not from:
David Mancuso Presents The Loft Vol.2
Arthur Russell - The World Of Arthur Russell
Oh well.. no problem will find it some day
Thanks for you time/effort!
(and all the best for 2007)
I’ve now had a chance to listen to the sound clip and I think it may be the original version of Go Bang! #5 from the Dinosaur L “24>24 Music” LP
This has been repressed (or bootlegged) over last couple of years, so you should be able to find a copy easily or maybe even find a sound clip of this mix on the web.

Let me know if it is this version.
