Hey eddie,I know Barak is the talk of the town but perhaps my age and experience has left me with a different take. Assuming we share some basic principles, I would love to see Barak in the White House. That said I'm still not buying the notion that this country will elect an African-American in my lifetime.
Quite honestly, I believe the repubs believe this is the case and eager to Barak there. Hillary I believe is still there first choice.
Because Bush has lowered the bar so significantly, the benefits of experience may not be that important when looking at Barak. For me, issues and deeds are important.
That said, he is quite eloquent and if he runs it will be a good thing.

He's positioning himself to be more socially conservative and he will obviously bring out the underrated Black base of the Democrat party. Hilary who strongly believes the base is northeastern liberal is going to be in for a heck of a shock and I predict she will withdraw alltogether. Debating Obama in the south is going to messy for Hilary and the Kerry ideologs.
