    Lightbulb WICCA-The Ancient Rites

Since some members have shown their interest in it, I will post some things on Wicca regularly.

But I'm warning you all: this is not a Hollywoodian approach and it will not be Harry Potteresque! Wicca is a serious rite, intended to live in harmony and certainly not a tool to hurt or damage people.

If you start looking on the net, be very careful with what you read about it and when you practice it.

This is a very good starter. Read it carefully and with love:

    PAGANISM

And yes, seriously, we have a ride with that theme but I will not give info on that in this thread!

Thanks. I'll post the name of that book and author tonight. See presents a very different view from the Hollywood/Christian perspective.
So are you a witch Johan? Perhaps I'm jumping the gun here so if you're not ready to answer, I can wait. :icon_cool:

Paul, you as a Star Trek fan: did you ever notice this:

    Wicca symbol:

    Klingon symbol:

What you call Christmas, we call Winter Solstice. Does that answer your question my young San Diegan?

I believe you answered my question :icon_cool:

Yes, it's a "Triqueta", it symbolises the triple aspected godess (maid, mother and crone), the circle emphasizes the unity aspect. It can be found in many religions such as in the Christian belief where it's the symbol of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit!

BTW, in the Wicca rites there's a God and a Godess. There are male highpriests (witch) and female highpriests (witch), one or both lead a coven, which normally has 13 members.

    There's even Wicca-Disco!

:icon_lol: Like other Christmas Disco! I never play that stuff :icon_lol:

Yesterday I was shopping at my favourite dealer who had a lot of Christmas Disco vinyl and I didn't buy it. I was tempted when I saw the Charo sleeve where she poses as Santa in hotpants but no.....

But I found lots of great stuff that was still missing in my collection, like the green vinyl 12" of Costandinos' "Synergy". Wow-it was a great evening
