No that's not it. It starts at 50 min and 00 sec and the second one starts at 58 min and 00 sec.
Check your link cause at 50:00 is Eddie Kendricks.
Am I wrong here?
At 58:00 is Love Is All We Need by Randy Brown.

Stuff happens. All the time. No sweat.
I don't know either one of these, but the first one sounds familiar and I would like to know it too. Sounds like the instrumental side of something.
I hope you get your answers.
Sorry:icon_confused: I can't identify either one of those.
Though if those are the only 2 you don't know, I'd love to know the names of the songs played.....
00:01 - (the first one)
and the ones beginning at
13:45-?
26:40-?
31:10-?
46:52-?
plus the 2 you're looking for:icon_lol:
and I agree with u, it is a great mix!

The one at 50 mins is
Alton Edwards - I Just Wanna Spend Some Time With you
a BIG, BIG hit in the UK in 1982?
The one at 13' 45'' I ought to know but can't remember. I used to play it too, but I fear it's one of my records that I lost in a flood, so haven't had a chance to refresh my memory in 24 years or so. It sounds Italo Disco to my ears.
BTW: after a very brief listen, this sounds like my kinda mix too. I loved the music from the early '80s.
Thanks, Quinny & Milton:icon_biggrin:
Lefturno - I'm not familiar with, but if this song is a good representation of their sound, then I guess I'll add them to the bottomless list of "gotta get that..." songs,![]()
And as far as Princess is concerned, that's just another example of what happens when you've got more records than memory, lol 'cause I'm pretty sure i've got that 12" around here somewhere...:icon_cool:
And yes his mixing is a little rough at points, but his choice of songs is inspiring, and Hell, if you keep doing it long enough, you'll get better...... I did. ;)

Hundreds of times. And in those hundreds of times many were inspirational. Some were "mind-blowing". A lot of them were just plain fun.
Do you think I (or others, for that matter) would be so close-minded to listen only to the mix that plays in my head? Or that I (or others, for that matter) would be so over critical of others’ mixes that I couldn’t find any level of pleasure in listening to it?
You and I grew up going from a non mix world, to a “human ear and beat matching technique” mix. And it was cool to us and everyone else listening to it for the first time.
The original poster may have grown up in today’s “digital, computerized, perfect-beat” world. To him, this mix sounded fresh and human. The mix was less mechanics and more of a mood he likes. He found a level of pleasure.
But why the side-swiping insult that this DJ and his mix is less a man than you?
Truthfully, are you stuck in a disco moment that you can’t get out of? Are you?![]()
Obviously, we don't think alike.
I get no pleasure out of mediocre music (including mixes), because I earned my living from music for sooooo long (33 years). In an ultra competitive business like music/DJing, you learn to get hard and hyper critical pretty damned quickly, otherwise you don't survive very long. The guy hits some mixes, but too many others leave a lot to be desired. Too many to discard as him just having a bad day, OR him having the knowledge to know they're not particularly good in the first place. No insults intended, just an accurate observation in my books.
I can honestly say that I, for one, am sorry to see you’re back. My opinion of you has not changed; you are still a long-winded, bullshitting phony who’s true expertise is in arrogance. And your bloviated, self proclaiming opinions are nothing more than a cry for attention and a doorstop to the conversation.
Sorry Bernie. If it gets me kicked off of Discomusic.com, it was worth it.
But I will leave you with a bit of knowledge I learned at my mothers’ knee.
“To show an arrogant pig that they are an arrogant pig, you gotta throw the slop right back in their face.”
Mom was a hoot. Get a little rum in her and she was the “wisdom tooth in the mouth of life.”
Merry Christmas Mom. Merry Christmas to all.
:icon_eek:
It’s a family feud and I was wrong on two points;
1) I took him as seriously as he takes himself
And
2) I ended up looking arrogant myself
It has bothered me and I would feel better apologizing to the community. It is not for me to change others, but to make the change in myself.
I do have a lot of fun at Discomusic.com and I hope I have added in a positive way. I think of the disco era as fun and one of the best times of my life. And I have found many ways to keep it alive for me today.
It is my opinion that there is more to like than dislike, and more to reveal than to overanalyze. After all, it is not rocket science. And nobody dies over our differences.
The true argument here is a clash of personalities. I am not the first on this website to push it over the edge.
In the future, I will make every effort to limit my response to him by either,
a) rolling my eyes and laughing it off:icon_rolleyes:![]()
b) respectfully debate his opinion with facts![]()
c) continue to deliver my witty wisecracks he sets himself up for:icon_twisted:
Or
d) ignore him completely and let him hang himself (probably the best of all options)![]()
I learned about this site at the Disco History display at Lincoln Center. I was happy when I finally got around to checking it out and joining. As I said before, “you people are my kind of people”.
And it is to those of “my kind of people” that I am sorry for letting a rift fester and using this forum to hurl a negative response.
To any one else who is new or does not understand, stick around. You’ll catch on.
(Now I feel better:icon_razz: )
(And bigger too)
Good for you Needlefingers. That's very gentleman-like of you.
