There's nothing like heavy metal for bad album covers. Here are some from the Argentina scene:
tribute album to a heavy metal band called "White Rat" (2001)
FACTOR RH - "Vivo por mí" (1989)
and the incredible:
HELLION - Hellion (1984)
Top this! :icon_mrgreen:
It don't mean a thing (if ain't got that swing)
Maybe this bunch of decent conservative young men????

This music journo selected the 25 worst album covers of 2006. Nothing like Hellion above, but some of them are very disco-like. My favorite is No. 2.
Pitchfork Feature: Top 25 Worst Album Covers of 2006
It don't mean a thing (if ain't got that swing)
A real bargain bin classic over here :icon_lol:
And let's not forget the master of funny covers - Freddie Gage

I bought my partner a book for Xmas containing hundreds of the worst LP covers ever (it's hilarious) & some of the above are included but there aren't many 70s disco ones surprisingly. However one that is included is Cerrone's 'Supernature' with the operating table & pig masks!:icon_mrgreen: :icon_confused:
...ya gotta beat the street......
& that's one of Cerrone's more classy covers!:icon_mrgreen:
...ya gotta beat the street......
haha...great search dude!
Al Jarreau boobs :icon_razz:

Marcio or anyone else here. Have you heard that Day By Day album before?
Find them and destroy them!
That one passed me by I'm afraid. I don't know why 'cos I love both Al Jarreau & Shakatak; have loads of their stuff.![]()
Is it an LP or single? I often say that if I had to name one artist who sums up the word class it would be Mr.Jarreau.
(however, that record cover with Jill from Shakatak was a momentary lapse!!
)
...ya gotta beat the street......
Day By Day came out on 12" but was also inlcluded on Shakataks "City Rhythm" LP (Polydor, 1985)

Thanks k-bee; I stopped buying Shakatak LPs after '84's 'Down In The Street' & started again in the 90s. I found some of their late 80s stuff lacked the class of the earlier stuff; I hated their cover of Hi-Gloss's 'Youll Never Know' & dissed them for a while!I forgave them eventually.

Regarding that Shakatak "day by day" single it is a really funky great song it was a chart hit in the uk in 1985 the play it on 105 smooth fm from time to time it sounds like down on the streets but more synthy dancey.
gosh that awful cover "let me touch him lol lol!. i wonder what that might mean..theese are very funny great thread very imaginative.
there's an album called "Mother's Apple Pie", but I can't remember if that's the name of the group or the album. Anyway, the front cover shows an elderly lady holding a pie with one slice cut away. If you look at the part of the pie that's cut away, you'll see a very personal part of the female anatomy(if you find an early pressing of the album). And if you can find one of the original pressings of the Disney film "The Little Mermaid", there's a photo of a personal part of the male anatomy about half an inch under the letter "r" in the word "mermaid" on the front cover. Naughty naughty....
