If it sounds like Madonna, I'd say "Baby Love" by Regina (Richards) from 1986.
female vocalist 1986 or prior
song starts off with cow bells and electronic violins
Lyrics:
I'm gonna love you baby
I'm gonna dance with you tonight
Baby Love
hey hey hey hey hey
baby love
I'm gonna keep you baby
I'm gonna keep you in my arms
baby love
hey hey hey hey hey
baby love
love me baby
baby love

Yetta,
There was a "Baby Love" by Aurra in 1983. Aurra were a male & female vocal duo. I don't know this one. Sorry.
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
Mark,
If it's a duo I'm sure if it's the right one either. There is no male
vocalist on the cut on the master. I'll try to download the song anyways. Maybe the female of the group did a solo effort on this song.

"Baby Love" by USA-European Connection (Boris Midney)
Unreal! I must have read those lyrics over and over and, as always, nothing clicks. Then Barry says, "Baby Love", USA-European, and all the music comes flooding. I guess I'm just better with 'soundbites' than words on a page.
