I got some for you, but not all!
Carol Douglas---Love zone (Next Plateau)
I was wondering if anyone has a track listing for this album. It was Carol's 6th and last recorded album to date and featured the hit single "You're Not So Hot" from back in 82'. If someone knows the track listing or where I can view it please post. Thanks,
DevP

All the tracks are the same as the french version, except in different order and the album title is different, as LD mentioned. Thanks again guys. It would not be possible without your help. :icon_biggrin:
Best regards,

I've never heard this LP; wasn't it produced by Darryl Payne & Eric Matthews? If so, is 'Got Ya Where I Want Ya' the same song as the Sharon Redd song?
...ya gotta beat the street......
Producers of this album are Ed O'loughlin, Andy Barret, Richard Sher, and Ray Rock.![]()
Thanks Lazydisco; I think I'm thinking of the Carol Williams material from this time!I'm getting my Carols mixed up.:icon_lol: (& at Xmas too!

It's a very nice album, one of her best (could that be said also for the hairdo on the cover?:icon_biggrin:).
The original album was "I Got Your Body" released in 1983 by Carrère (Polydor in Spain). It was basically a compilation of previous singles and their B-sides. The US version is the same except the title, ("Love Zone"), the picture on the cover (but it's the same photo session) and the label (Next Plateau).
Tracklisting:
A1 I Got Your Body (4:48)
Produced by Andy Barrett and Eddie O'Loughlin
Arranged By Mark Berry
Mixed By Andy Barrett , Mark Berry
Issued as 12" in this version in Europe (Carrère #8256), to support the album released at the same time, in 1983. In the US it was the last 12" single from the album, released in 1983 too (Next Plateau 50016). The US mix is also by Barrett and Berry but it has different intro and break (5:40 long).
A2 Party Nights (3:37)
Produced by Eddie O'Loughlin
Arranged By Reid, Anderson (from Crown Heights Affair; cf. "Now!" by France Joli)
Mixed By Mark Berry
B-side of "You're not so hot" (1982)
A3 My Simple Heart (New Remix) (7:28)
Produced by Eddie O'Loughlin
Arranged By Reid, Anderson
Mixed By Mark Berry
This is the second 12" mix of the song, issued under the name "New York dancin' mix" (French Carrère 8172 12" single, 1982). It’s not the first mix (20th Century Records TCD-125, Carrère 8144) which is 5:50 and was released in 1981 : the intro and the break are differents.
B1 Got Ya Where I Want Ya (3:57)
Produced by, Mixed By, Arranged By Richard Sher (who co-wrote Sharon Brown's "I specialize in love" and Diana Ross' "Dirty looks"; no relation with Sharon Redd's "Got Ya Where I Want Ya" written and produced by Eric Matthew)
Mixed By John "Jellybean" Benitez
A longer mix (6:40) was available in the US (Next Plateau 50014) in 1983 but not in Europe. That would be the third 12" single from the album. In Europe the song in this particular mix is the B-side of the 12" single "I got your body" (Carrère #8256).
B2 Slip Into Something Comfortable (3:45)
Produced by Ray Rock
Mixed By Chas Clifton
B-side of "My simple heart" recorded in 1982 when the song switched from 20th Century Records to Carrère.
B3 You're Not So Hot (7:13)
Produced by Ray Rock
Mixed By Jonathan Fearing
The second 12" single released by Carrère in Europe (#8200) and the first by Next Plateau in the US (#50010), both in 1982. This lp version is the 12" mix.
B4 Rescue Me / Sending Out An SOS (4:20)
Produced by Eddie O'Loughlin
Arranged By Reid, Anderson
Mixed By Mark Berry
This song, a cover of the Fontella Bass classic, is the only song actually recorded for the lp (1983).
