I also have the "What i did for love on a U.K. 7", according to label credits it's off an album called "Standing Up For Love".

If you , like I , are a fan of the song
WHAT I DID FOR LOVE
you may want to seek out this version that came out in 1976 on Epic . I have the 45 ....and I'm not sure if there was a Three Degree LP released on Epic (?) that would've included it ???
It's a nice version ( but then is there ever a bad one ? )
with wonderful Three Degree harmonies ......
Produced by Brad Shapiro
Arranged dramatically by Richard Rome ( Ritchie Family )

Baby, take me
high upon a hillside
high up where the stallion
meets the sun

Thanks Tony !
My promo copy makes no mention of it .
But it is on Gemm and it lists its titles as including :
1977 incl. What i did for love, Just leave me alone, Macaroni man, Gee baby, People with feeling, In love we grow
I'l have to wtch for it . I wonder if Richie Rome did the whole thing .....
Do you loke this version? ...my one complaint ....at one point she says ....what I did for your love ....
and I like to think the song is about a broader theme ... what we do for all the various loves that happen in the course of our lives ....
A small yet significant change of the meaning of the song ......:icon_rolleyes:
