this caught my eye but I'm not sure if you're referring to the Lisa Fisher who's best known as a session singer who has recorded and toured with artists like Luther Vandross and the Rolling Stones (she steals the Stones' show when she puts her ad libs on "Gimme Shelter"). Anyway, her solo album "So Intense" is a rare find indeed. It has some stunning songs including some produced by Vandross, grammy winner Narada Michael Walden and the legendary Arif Mardin. I can't recommend it enough. How records this good get overlooked while disposable teenage poppers and one-named RandB moaners get so much attention baffles me.

    Heh there,
It is actually Lisa Fischer and not Fisher so you may be correct. It's taken from the 24 Hour Woman soundtrack, although it got an unofficial release on a tweleve. Excellent stuff as you suggest.
