Hey Funky,
Glad you found some stuff close to home. I'll take bets that you REALLY LIKE LTD but that Soul Train Gang album is going to be a let down. I know it didn't do much for me.
Let us know after you get them.
Hi everyone, I was searching for Soul Train and came across a "Don Cornelius Presents Soul Train Gang" record (there's usually a number of them on EBAY every year), well anyhow what surprised me the auctioner was located in Australia :D !!! And in the same state I live in which is New South Wales! :D Anyhow I looked at her other auctions and she had a mixure of disco, funk, Aussie rock, rock etc... and found a couple more disco/funk records of my interest but bidded on one more as I'm tight with money at the moment. Anyhow the second LP I bidded on is L.T.D.'s "Gittin' Down" record from 1974, I'm not sure what their like but I bet it's going to sound really funky :D :D :D . Anyhow I've sent the money order to her and probably get the records Friday or Monday next week. I'm so looking forward to hearing them :D . It's unusual finding a Soul Train Gang album in Australia, I guess it was imported.

Hi Funky Dude,
Good to see you won some items on eBay. It's a great way of finding hard to get stuff isn't it? Personally, Items I've won include Night Fever - Carol Douglas, Stand Up, Sit Down - AKB and Spin It - Sunbelt.
Haven't been dealing with eBay lately as I have been having some trouble with them. I sent my payment for my seller fees, but it never showed on my account. SO now they're saying that I need to pay or they'll take action. (I only owe Aust$8.06)
So have been trying to get it sorted out. :x

Hi Nicky. Just received the records last week.
Anyhow here's my review on them:
Don Cornelius Presents The Soul Train Gang 1975 (The music was good especially on Side A and my top 2 favourite songs on it are "Soul Train '75 Theme" :D and "Garbage Can" :D )
L.T.D. - Gittin' Down 1974 (This album is PURE FUNK :D :D :D , and my number one favourite song off it is "You Can Be Free")
Australia mate! The land of many great funkateers!
Excellent! They both work for you. Always a good feeling after laying out that hard-earned money. :)

back in 1975 I bought the 7" single of "theme from soul train" I never knew there was an LP.... I also got my LP from ebay.... hehe probably 3 years ago.... the songs you mentioned on side 1 are cool. However, you got a very very rare Lp from L.T.D. "Gittin' Down" this LP debuted on the Soul LP's chart on 1/25/75 and got as high as #40...!!!!
It feel off the chart after only 6 weeks. :( at this point in their career they didn't chart with any single until the next year with "love to love the world" on that LP they not only charted, but had a #1 smash with "Love Ballad" (#1 for 2 weeks) that summer.
Just so you & I can keep our eyes open... their debut LP in 1974 was "Love, Togetherness & Devotion" hopefully somebody out their has got one for sell. I would love to have both those LP's to add to my collection. I'm sure you do alsotake care
