A few years after the film a real event happened that inspired the group again to do a song about the event? Can you name the event and song?

the disco was the room on top of the building. i believe it was one of the rooms they were holding the party of the grand opening of the tower. don't remember what it looked like or the music, it's been such a long time since i seen it. i do remember maureen mcgovern of the posideon adventure making a cameo appearance. i just remember reading that Leroy Green and Ron Kersey supposedly wrote he song after watching the movie.
