    albums on colored vinyl

are these currently valuable, does anyone know? And how about picture discs? And does anyone know of a website NOT related to eBay or Amazon where people list the individual titles of recordings they're looking for? Thanks in advance.

Yes. Just off the top of my head... Madonna's recent album was pressed on pink vinyl, and I recently picked up two Pet Shop Boys 7" singles, one of which is a picture disc (I'm With Stupid) and the other is on clear vinyl (Minimal).

    Hey ol'skinflint:

Try Gemm! They are alot like ebay with listings from many different sellers but the interface is a bit unfriendly.

Be careful with older records on colored vinyl. The sound is supposedly very inferior.

It all depends. I have some coloured vinyl from the 70s that sounds great, even after dozens of plays. But I also have a clear vinyl 12" from the early 90s that sounds worse every time I play it.

Yes, I have it, although I'm missing the sleeve.

Do you know how much a Noel picture disc would be worth?

(BTW, I listened to your music sample on your website. Very interesting.)

About as much as any other disco LP from that era. I paid about $15 for my copy, but that was through an online store, so the cost is higher than what it would go for in a regular second-hand shop.

With Noel's album, copies on regular vinyl (made only in Canada and Germany AFAIK) are much harder to find.

I've got the 'Donna Summer' LP from '82 on picture disc & the sound quality is awful. There's like a hiss all the time like listening to an old cassette tape! It looks nice though.:icon_mrgreen: I'm so annoyed that the CD version of this has been deleted.
